I thought I had a Grandpa who loved me through and through
I thought I had a Grandpa who might write to say I love you

I thought I had a Grandpa who would always be there
I thought I had a Grandpa who knew how much he cared

I thought I had a Grandpa who loved me through and through
Oh My Dear Grandpa I am only two

I don’t quite understand why I don’t hear from you
Oh my Dear Grandpa what ever did I do?

I just wonder Grandpa do you even know
I am just so little and my heart is broken so

I thought I had a Grandpa who would be my Bestest Friend
Oh my Dear Grandpa so soon could this be the end?

Your still alive and healthy, could be there if you tried
I love you oh Dear Grandpa , wish you were on my side.

I thought I had a Grandpa or was he just a dream a childish wish
Oh my Dear Grandpa why does it have to be like this.
